Poundland wanted to shake up their brand perception, repositioning themselves as a powerful guardian of the British pound. They wanted a campaign that was memorable and blew through the noise other stores made with all their loyalty card scams and false discount promises.

We created Poundland's newest mascot, The Poundland Pounder. He is the hero for the people of Britain and their bank balances. We introduce the Pounder on socials in a series of films, showing it's always better to follow the Pounder to Poundland, people.

Once the audience knew what Pounder was about, we'd create content from the extra scenarios we wrote and shot to diversify the output and maximise the fun with Pounder.
Pounder on the grid can look like a mix of long-form content and meme-worthy screenshots from the films. Reacting to social trends and being truly native on socials.





And finally, the Pounder can take his place in Poundland's everyday price point posts.
